    We’ve got some issues with the way the posts are displayed.. at the top is the image then the videoplayer in a false resolution and also the video lays on top of the content.

    Is the only way to solve this to customize the wordpress theme?

    It looks like on your website a script is injecting a div element having class “.fluid-width-video-wrapper” around the player iframe.

    The plugin doesn’t need this since it takes care of its own embedding. Due to this element being injected into the plugin player you have the video displayed wrong.

    Please try inserting this CSS into your theme/child theme stylesheet:

    .cvm_single_video_player .fluid-width-video-wrapper {
        height: 100%!important;
        padding: 0!important;

    As for the way videos are displayed, yes, the only way to change the display is to edit your theme’s single post display.

    I suggest for this to use a child theme and implement any changes in it. This way, when you update your main theme you won’t lose your changes.
