The main thing I was trying to accomplish with your plugin is posting an autoplay video and decreasing the volume from Vimeo. The autoplay works great, but as far as lowering the volume…no luck. I am using shortcode for this and even tried entering the value of “0” for volume but it’s not even muting. Am I doing something wrong?

    [cvm_video id="1282" volume="0" width="800" autoplay="1" loop="0"]

    Hi,

Thank you for reporting this issue, this was indeed a plugin bug. An update to version 1.5.0.5 is available, it deals with this bug.
You can download it from your CodeFlavors account.

Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with, thank you.

I’m using the free version. Is it not possible to use the shortcodes to lower the volume with the free plugin?

Oh, so sorry, my bad, I wasn’t paying attention. I updated the free version too, when changing the volume from the video post settings it will change in front-end also.

Please note that the shortcode takes only one argument and that argument is the video post ID; the volume can be changed only from video post settings.

Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with.

I am using 1.5.0.7 & the volume will not set to 0 (mute). I have tried coding it manually & also using the “Add video shortcode” — no luck.

Like Jenny, I need this to work for looping a short video — it’s what I bought the plug in for. Setting the volume to 1 works to make it quieter, but it needs to be silence, not just quieter.

The other shortcode items (autoplay, loop, etc.) seem to work just fine, but having the volume at any level other than mute is a deal killer for me for this site.

I’ve tested in a few browsers… no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just adding this because I think I forgot to check the notify button — sorry…

It works perfectly now, Constantin. Thank you so much for the quick response & fix!

Just one other quick question… When the video first starts it shows the scrubber, etc. Since these are just quick loops, the user doesn’t need to ever see that. Is there a way to suppress it? If not, no problem, but it seemed worth asking.

My pleasure, always happy to help. As for the embedding, I think the easiest way would be to edit the video embedding directly on Vimeo and remove any unnecessary things. That is if you own the video.

If you don’t own the video, unfortunately, Vimeo player API doesn’t provide a way of hiding the controls so there’s not much that can be done about it.
