After almost a half year work, Featured Articles PRO 3.0 is available for download here on CodeFlavors. This version is a complete rewrite of the plugin and we hope you will love it as much as we loved making it.

The general idea of the plugin is pretty much the same as with previous versions, create sliders in WordPress from posts/pages and custom post types and display them anywhere in your website. What comes as a plus is the slider theme editor which is now more like the WordPress theme editor, giving you a live preview of your whole website while you edit a slider theme.

Another notable feature is the layout variations for slider themes. For example, the same theme can be modified entirely from the slider settings to display a different layout by just changing some options. This means less CSS customizations from your part and more focus on what content you should put into your slides.

Custom slides are another area that was completely modified. If with previous versions it wasn’t clear enough how to use custom slides in sliders, with version 3.0 you can create custom slides directly from slider editing screen. Also, any other manually selected post can be modified to have a different title and content directly from slider editing page. This way, you no longer need to go back and forth between slides editing and post/custom slide editing.

Video embedding in slides is now as easy as clicking a few options. All you need to do is paste the Vimeo or YouTube video ID and you can have the video title, description and image automatically filled by the plugin with just a few clicks and also have the video attached to the slide.
